While responding to New London High School for a reported structure fire, the Third Batt. was flagged down at 365 Jefferson. The man reported his home was on fire. 11 Engine showed up on scene, and extinguished the fire. The 11 engine was able to hold and extinguish the fire with a can.

While companies where still operating at 271 Pequot the call came in for a structure fire at 95 Pequot. The fire was reported as electrical in the walls. On arrival companies found smoke in the building. FDNL Fire Chief A-1 was command of this incident.

1730 Hours-Haz-mat on Cornwall Street. Batt 3 was command, E-7, L-3, First Due, Hazards and the Haz-Mat Trailer where also on scene along with a few other companies. A 55 Gal. Drum was leaking down the street. The Product was believed to be Motor Oil.

1850 Hours-Engine 11, Rescue 2, and Ladder 5 on a special signal responded to Elmwood @ Potters from a MVA. Ladder 5 was canceled.

1931 Hours-Still Box Engines 14, 15, 3 Ladders 6, 1 Special Hazards, Batt. 2 responded to 84 Harold Street from the Report of Smoke from the Building. Code Yellow For E-14, L-6, Furnace Problem.

Despite not having the first frost, the Providence Fire Department caught this second alarm at around 900 p.m. Engine 14 and Ladder 6 where first due. They found fire in the walls on the first floor. Other companies found more on the 2nd and 3rd floors. A second alram was struck and the fire quickly went under control.

Providence Fire responded to # 62-64 Croyland Road. On arrival Engine 8 and Tower 2 reported a code red. They had a fire in the basement and it was quickly knocked down. Due to the heat there where several extra companies there. Also a few companies where delayed because they where still down on the waterfront dealing with large fire from the previous night.
